The Cwm Taf Morgannwg Safeguarding Board is pleased to introduce a new Regional Safeguarding Training Update, which will be circulated to partners on a monthly basis. The update has been developed to help practitioners and managers stay informed about a wide range of safeguarding learning opportunities available across the region and nationally.
Each edition will bring together free training, webinars and awareness-raising events from a range of safeguarding organisations and subject areas. The first issue includes opportunities covering topics such as child sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviour, exploitation, domestic abuse, self-neglect, artificial intelligence in social care, neurodiversity, trauma-informed practice, and multi-agency safeguarding.
The monthly update aims to support continuing professional development, promote multi-agency learning, and improve awareness of emerging safeguarding issues affecting children, young people and adults. Partners are encouraged to share the update widely within their organisations and networks.
We also welcome submissions from partner agencies. If you have safeguarding training, conferences, webinars or awareness-raising events that you would like included in future editions, please contact ctmsafeguarding@rctcbc.gov.uk
