Safer Internet Day 2026 takes place on Tuesday 10 February 2026, and we’re proud to be part of this nationwide effort to help children and young people stay safe online.
Each year, Safer Internet Day brings together schools, organisations, families, and communities to focus on an issue impacting young people online, and for 2026 the day is exploring AI, with the theme: Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI. It’s a chance to shine a light on digital wellbeing and encourage open, honest conversations.
As supporters of the campaign, we’re encouraging our people, partners, and stakeholders to:
• Save the date and share it with colleagues and networks
• Take part in activities, whether that’s a lesson, workshop, assembly, or discussion
• Download the free, official resources, including lesson plans, assemblies, top tips and advice for educators and families
• Help spread the word through your own communication channels
The UK Safer Internet Centre has a range of free resources and information to help you get involved. You can find everything you need at saferinternetday.org.uk
We hope you’ll join us in supporting this important campaign and help create a safer, more positive online world for children and young people
