Mapping and Evaluating Services for Children with Learning Disabilities and Behaviours that Challenge

The MELD (Mapping and Evaluating Services for Children with Learning Disabilities and Behaviours that Challenge) study is a 3-year research project led by the University of Warwick that aims to identify the ways that services are organised to support children with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge and their families (‘Service Models’), and to examine whether some service models work better than others to support these children and their families.

Part of this research involves identifying some case studies of when family carers or young people with learning disabilities have worked together with services to develop or improve a service or resource. This is sometimes called co-production.

If you have experience or knowledge of an example of co-production (in services for children with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge, within Wales NHS or social care) that you think would be good for the University of Warwick to study as part of this research, or have any questions, please email Rinita.Dam@warwick.ac.uk
