Recently published - 'What you need to know about child sexual abuse'

The CSA Centre has published a new accessible overview on What you need to know about child sexual abuse.

This new overview is designed to help all who work with children to build an informed understanding of child sexual abuse including: what we know about the scale and nature of sexual abuse of children, how to identify and respond to concerns, its impact and what we can do to help children, adults and families recover and move forward.

This introductory resource is available to anyone seeking to learn more about child sexual abuse, whether they work directly with children or not. It is free to access on our website.

Child sexual abuse has been spoken about a lot in the news and in public discussion lately. Raising awareness about child sexual abuse can help us respond to it as a society, especially when it is backed up by evidence from research and practice. The overview provides an essential background to child sexual abuse to help guide and inform these conversations.
