Child Sexual Abuse

What is Child Sexual Abuse?

Child sexual abuse is when someone makes a child do something sexual, shows them sexual content, or talks to them in a sexual way that makes them feel uncomfortable, scared, confused, or unsafe.

This can happen:

  • In person
  • Online
  • By someone you know or someone you don't know

It is never your fault.

If Something Doesn't Feel Right

Trust your feelings. If someone is making you feel:

  • Uncomfortable
  • Worried
  • Scared
  • Pressured to keep secrets

Talk to a trusted adult as soon as possible.

Who Can Help?

You can talk to:

  • A parent or carer
  • A family member
  • A teacher
  • A school nurse
  • A social worker
  • Another trusted adult

You will be listened to and supported.
