Online Safety

The internet offers children and young people many opportunities to learn, play and connect with others. However, it also presents risks such as cyberbullying, online grooming, inappropriate content, scams and exploitation.

Parents, carers and professionals can help children stay safe by encouraging open conversations about online activities, setting appropriate privacy controls and helping them recognise when something doesn't feel right.

Reporting Concerns

If you are worried that a child is being groomed, exploited or abused online, report it to CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection).

Remember: If something online makes a child feel worried, scared or unsafe, encourage them to speak to a trusted adult.
