Cwm Taf Morgannwg Exploitation Strategy and Toolkit

A new Contextual Safeguarding approach to managing Exploitation and Serious Violence

Do you work with children and young people in RCT, Merthyr Tydfil or Bridgend?

On the 1st September 2025, we will be implementing the first phase of our regional Exploitation Strategy. The second phase of the Strategy will focus on safeguarding adults from exploitation.

This sets out our commitment and priorities to prevent and protect children and young people at risk of exploitation and serious violence.

We are committed to working in collaboration with children, young people, their families and professionals.

When developing the Exploitation Strategy, we have worked in partnership, developing practitioners’ guidance, toolkits and safety plans with a clear focus on disruption.

Resources on disruption can be found be selecting the following link: Child Exploitation Disruption Toolkit

Also, the NWG Network offers good resources on disruption. Membership is free.  Please select the following link for more information: NWG Network
