Thematic Review of Adult Practice Reviews (APRs) Wales 2025

The Strategic Partnership between the National Independent Safeguarding Board (NISB) Wales and Manchester Metropolitan University have shared the following reports:

It is believed that these reports provide the first and most comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of adult safeguarding arrangements across Wales to date. As such it provides a key source document for learning across the entire field of adult safeguarding. Equally, the report also recommends some key priorities for decision-makers, managers and for practitioners, to understand and address in their work. You are urged to consider how you can transfer these priorities and recommendations into local, regional or organisational action. For its part, the National Board will be expecting feedback and progress reports from all Regional Safeguarding Boards in relation to each of the recommendations, at the end of the 2025/26 year.

Feedback in relation to the above is welcomed. If you have any feedback, comments or questions, you can email the partnership email on: ManMetNISB@mmu.ac.uk
